Daisy Lowe launches Give Up Clothes For Good with TK Maxx in Dublin

Style icon and model Daisy Lowe took a trip to Dublin last Friday to launch Give Up Clothes For Good with brands-for-less retailer TK Maxx in aid of Enable Ireland.

Give Up Clothes for Good is Ireland’s biggest and longest running clothes and homewares donation collection and has raised €1.6m for Enable Ireland since 1997 when it was launched in Ireland.

Speaking about supporting the cause, Daisy said, “I was so touched to be asked to be part of ‘Give Up Clothes for Good’, which raises money for Enable Ireland.”

Clear out: Daisy is urging Irish people to give up their clothes for charity | JASON BELL

“Give Up Clothes for Good is such a fantastic initiative and I urge anybody who is thinking of having a clear out to take their unwanted items down to their local TK Maxx store.

“I gave up one of my favourite dresses and although it was hard to part with, knowing it would directly make a difference to the children that benefit from the services Enable Ireland provide, made parting with the dress a lot easier.”

As part of the campaign Daisy Lowe was photographed by world famous photographer, Jason Bell.

The campaign asks the public to donate their unwanted clothes, accessories and quality homeware in the special drop off points provided in TK Maxx stores nationwide all year round.

Donated items will be sold in Enable Ireland shops and money raised by the sale of these items are used to fund projects directly benefiting children and young people with disabilities around the country, including purpose built children’s service centre, transport services and specialist equipment.
