Taylor Swift became the biggest-ever MTV Awards winner at Wednesday night’s ceremony.
Megan Thee Stallion hosted the awards show at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.
Taylor Swift led the nominations with twelve nods – including Artist of the Year.

Taylor took home seven moon men at the awards, bringing her total to 30.
That places her ahead of Beyoncé, who has 26 wins as a solo act.
As a part of Destiny’s Child, and with Jay-Z as the Carters, Beyoncé has 30 wins, placing her in a tie with Taylor Swift.
Behind the pair, Madonna has 20 awards, and Lady Gaga has 19.

Taylor became the first artist to win Best Artist of the Year twice and the first to win the Video of the Year award five times.
During her acceptance speech for the latter, Taylor spoke about directing the video and credited many of the people involved, along with Post Malone and “my boyfriend Travis Kelce.”
The singer commented that Travis was “cheering and woo-ing from across the studio where we were shooting [the video].”

She continued, “I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I will always remember that.”
Taylor acknowledged her fans, who she thanked for “making my life what it is, for making the Eras Tour for what it’s become, and for making the ‘The Tortured Poet’s Department’ what it’s become.”
She told the audience. “That’s all you guys.”
Before heading off stage, Taylor reaffirmed her earlier message on Instagram the previous evening, encouraging people to cast ballots in the forthcoming election.

“If you are 18, please register to vote,” she told the audience.
“It’s an important election.”
Taylor was nominated for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (Fortnight), Best Collaboration (Fortnight), Song of the Summer (Fortnight), VMAs Most Iconic Performance (“You Belong With Me”), and Best Pop Artist.
Her video for Fortnight alone got nods in the Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction categories.
