Selena Gomez will reportedly “drop new music ahead of the BAFTA’S” after vowing to focus on acting career.
The singer, who released her last album in 2020, will reportedly share a secret single on Friday.
According to The Sun, Selena will drop a new track at the BAFTA’s before battling it out for Best Supporting Actress.

According to the source, Selena will release the song on Valentine’s Day as she gets ready to spend her first romantic holiday as a fianceé with Benny Blanco.
The Disney star previously released a song My Mind & Me in 2022, for her documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.
Prior to this, the Only Murders actress stated that she would like to concentrate on acting and that her next album might be her last.

During a panel at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday, February 9, Selena hinted that she is “ready to just focus on” acting: “I think film and art-making and being around such incredible, talented people that have done nothing but uplift me along the way. It’s going to be very hard for me to ever go back to music after this.”
More than a year has passed since Selena last released new music.

After releasing the 2023 successes Single Soon and Calm Down,Selena released Love On in February 2024.
The actress acknowledged at the time that she wasn’t eager to get back to the studio.
“The older I get, the more I’m kind of like, ‘I would like to find something to just settle on,’” she explained on the SmartLess podcast in 2024.

“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting.”
Selena added: “You’re right [I don’t have to choose between the two], but I am going to want to chill, because I’m tired.”
