Kanye West sued by legendary singer for ‘stealing’ from her song

Kanye West has been sued by Donna Summer for ‘stealing’ a sample from her hit single ‘I Feel Love’.

The American rapper reportedly asked for permission to use the sample in his new song Good (Don’t Die) but was “explicitly denied” the request.

The Gold Digger singer is now being sued by Donna Summer’s estate for the “blatant theft” of the track.

Donna’s estate has said the 46-year-old used an “instantly recognisable” part of Summer’s song.

Court documents have shown that Summer’s estate was approached by Kanye’s team on January 31 to request permission for use of the song.

This request was denied, but Kanye’s album was released a week later on February 10.

The Good (Don’t Die) single was streamed by millions on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music before it could be taken down.
