Less than a year after giving birth to her son, Hailey Bieber has shared that she is currently suffering from two ovarian cysts.
Taking to her Instagram story to show her stomach, the model wrote: “Currently have two ovarian cysts 😫” and added, “if you deal with ovarian cysts I’m right there with ya! ❤️🩹.”
Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that appear in or on the surface of the ovary. Although they tend to go away on their own, some can burst and cause serious symptoms, such as severe abdominal pain and bloating.
This is the first time that the Rhode founder has opened up about her health issues, and in 2022, she shared in an Instagram video that she suffered from a “mini-stroke” that led to a heart condition.
“I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital,” she explained.
“They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours.”
The 28-year-old then went on to be diagnosed with patent foramen ovale (PFO), a condition where a small opening between the heart’s upper chamber normally present during fetal development failed to close after birth.
Hailey then underwent a procedure to close that she described was a “fairly large” opening.
“I did this test, and they actually found that I had a grade five PFO, which is the highest grade that you can have,” she recalled in a video posted on YouTube.
“But at this point too, I was just grateful that they found it and that they knew that it was there.”
She revealed that the doctors believed a blood clot traveled into her heart, causing her to suffer a transient ischemic attack.
“I just feel really relieved that we were able to figure everything out, that we were able to get it closed […] that I will be able to just move on from this really scary situation and just live my life.”
Hailey welcomed a son, Jack Blue Bieber, with her husband Justin Bieber in August of last year and she shared a sweet photo with her baby boy celebrating Easter over the weekend.
This comes as fans continue to worry about the state of the couple’s relationship due to Justin’s worrying behaviour online recently.
In addition to this, on March 4, the singer posted an array of photos of himself seemingly smoking weed while sitting on a electric bike wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, and brown boots.
The post was set to the song Hits from the Bong by Cypress Hill, which includes lyrics about preparing and smoking marijuana using a bong.
Fans expressed their dismay following Justin’s latest post, which came shortly after videos of him smoking a “joint” and rapping about getting “high.”
One fan commented under the post: “Jesus freed you from that, bro, why are you going back to that?”
Another wrote: “Jb why are you still like this… quit smoking, drugs, and alcohol.. be a good example to your son.. give Jack a good childhood.. be a good father.”
It’s understood that while Justin was in Idaho, his wife Hailey Bieber was left to care for their baby son, as well as attend the Oscar’s Variety afterparty alone.
Although fans have been concerned for the couple’s marriage due to Justin’s behaviour, the pair were recently spotted seeking out the advice of Churchome pastor Judah Smith in Los Angeles.
