Gossip Girl star Chanel Maya Banks reportedly disappeared in LA two weeks ago as her family is desperately searching for the actress
The family has accused her husband of refusing to help the search, claiming he isn’t cooperating with police.
Chanel is known for her role of Sawyer Bennett, a friend of Jenny Humphrey, played by Taylor Momsen, on the hit teen series.
Chanel was last heard from on October 30, when her cousin, Danielle-Tori Sing received a text from her.
Her mother Judy Singh and cousin as well as other family member have arrived in LA help aid in the search.
This reportedly follows Chanel’s husband telling them “she does not want to be found” and allegedly was taking down missing persons posters.
It has been reported that when her family arrived at her apartment all her belongings were still there except for her phone and laptop.
Chanel’s cousin Danielle told ABC7 News: “Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells.”
“She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom… That girl is more like a big sister to me.”
She continued: “Her husband is extremely suspicious.”
“He is not willing to help LAPD. He’s not willing to help me or her mom. He is removing flyers off of posts and cars.”
She added: “I can tell you in my soul, in my gut, something is not right…We’re crossing two weeks now without a word, without a sound. Nothing.”
