It was reported in August that the couple, who had begun dating in 2017, has gone their separate ways.
However, it seems that they have resolved their differences in time for what has been dubbed Coldplay’s largest-ever performance.

When she stopped wearing her emerald engagement ring five months ago, the couple sparked rumours that they had called off her engagement.
The couple reportedly separated up for a short time in 2019 because he was pressuring them to have kids, but they soon reconciled.
According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE magazine in June, the couple seemed to be together and were still “going strong.”

In October 2017, he was first spotted with Dakota at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles, where they were described as “cosy, laughing, and affectionate.”
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Chris appeared to confirm he and Dakota are still very much together, but wishes to keep their romance out of the public eye.
“It is important to say that [romantic love] is such a big factor in everything,” he told Rolling Stone.
“Even though it feels right to keep it precious and private; I’m not denying its power,” he confessed.

Rolling Stone reported that throughout the interview, Chris repeatedly mentioned Dakota, including telling them he had recently listened to Kasey Musgraves’s Golden Hour together.
The Coldplay also listed his partner when asked who his as best friends were: “Phil, Dakota, Jonny, Will, and Guy. My kids.”
In August, the Daily Mail reported that the singer had “accepted the relationship is over – and that it’s best to move on.”

A source told the Daily Mail: “Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work.”
“They’ll always have love for each other but they’ve both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term.”
“They’re both busy people, Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments which don’t naturally intertwine with each other.”
“They wanted it to work but it just hasn’t, and they’ve now accepted it is best to move on.”
Hollywood Foreign Press AssociationHowever, a rep for Dakota has since slammed these claims and told TMZ that they are still happily together.
A source told TMZ that Dakota was supporting Chris at Coldplay’s Helsinki concert just 2 weeks before the rumours.
