Cameron Diaz has revealed that “inappropriate on-set behaviour” led to her quitting acting.
The actress returned to our screens for Netflix’s new movie Back In Action alongside Glenn Close and Jamie Foxx.
The film centres on two former CIA agents, Emily (Cameron) and Matt (Jamie), who have chosen to settle down, have a family and lead regular lives after giving up their lives of adventure and espionage.

They have to fight and flee to defend the people closest to them after their identities are stolen, so things don’t go as planned for them.
Since her return, Cameron—who also took a sabbatical to concentrate on motherhood—has disclosed that the #MeToo movement caused a significant transformation in movie sets.
Speaking to the Skip Intro Podcast, she said: “The industry is so different. I mean, I definitely have to say that MeToo changed everything. You walk on to the set and it is different.”

“There was always just like that one guy, you know, on set, that you were like, ‘God, here he comes again.'”
“There was always layers and layers of inappropriateness that you just kind of had to put up with.”
Prior to filming, Human Resources spoke with Cameron about appropriate behaviour for Back In Action and gave her a “anonymous hotline” where cast and crew could report any problems.
“I was like, ‘Wow, that’s amazing’. The level of security and safety you feel as a woman now on set is great. I had never felt that before this film,” she added.

Cameron previously told Empire that she went back to acting just to work with Jamie again after Annie and Any Given Sunday.
She said: “I thought that if I was going to come back and do a movie, the only person I’d come back and do it with would be this guy (Foxx).”
“Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I was always saying ‘No. I’m not doing it, I’ve told you… What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!'”
