Little Mix have hit back at claims that their new single sounds similar to a GRL song.
The X Factor stars released the video for their new single Shout Out To My Ex last week but has been a hot topic lately with people saying it sounds very similar to the American band’s song Ugly Heart.
“We’re actually friends with Emmalyn from GRL and she loves the song,” Jade Thirlwall said.
“Every song is going to have a similar chord sequence, slightly similar lyrics and melodies – it happens all the time,” she told a Belgium radio station.
“It doesn’t mean that they’re not both incredible songs.”
