The actress hit out at tabloids

Jennifer Aniston has delivered an amazing speech to empower women as she hit out at tabloids.

The actress previously wrote a powerful essay to tabloids that stirred rumours that she was pregnant – and now she’s inviting women all over the world to silence

“We as women do a lot of incredible things in this world other than just pro-create,” she said.

While on holiday with her husband Justin Theroux, Jennifer was snapped in a bikini with a round stomach which sparked rumours that she was expecting a child.

“We get boxed in – [tabloids] love the narrative, they love the story, they love the ‘she’s jealous,’ ‘that person’s depressed.’ Whatever the horrible headline is, we just have to break out of that,” she said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“Women are many of the authors of these horrible articles that are written in these BS tabloids. We have to stop listening to them and we have to stop buying them because we have to support each other.

“Especially at this time to love each other to support and to be proud of women whatever you’re choice is. It’s up to us whatever makes up happy and fulfilled.”

Ellen complimented her on her “elegantly written” piece and recommended for all her viewers to read it – but the Friends star admitted that she wrote it for herself first.

“I did it at first for myself, to write and not necessarily send it – since I was a kid I’ve done that. I kind of hit a wall. I was pretty raw at the time.

“Just came back from a vacation and we came back from being in pretty much no where. We were mobbed, a scary kind of mobbed. I didn’t know what was happening, I kept thinking ‘Is Kim Kardashian behind me?’

“It was very strange, and it turns out that another wonderful photograph, which I’ve had to live with the last 10 or 15 years, of me with a bump and a circle around my stomach with an arrow pointing to it in this disgustingly objectifying kind of way. I was just fed up with it.

“These tabloids, all of us, need to take responsibility on what we [take into] out brain. Just because we’re women and we have a uterus, a vagina, ovaries, we need to get to work as opposed to Freedom Medal,” she added as she pointed to the show’s host.

Ellen was awarded the medal recently from President Barack Obama for her bravery to risk her career and come out as gay.
