Debbie Reynolds has sadly passed away, just one day after the death of her beloved daughter Carrie Fisher.
According to TMZ, the 84-year-old actress died due to a suspected stroke. Emergency services were called to her son’s home in Beverly Hills at 1pm yesterday, where the family were making plans for Carrie’s funeral.
Debbie’s son Todd Fisher revealed in statement that, “She’s now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken.”
“She said, ‘I want to be with Carrie’,” he revealed. “And then she was gone.”
Speaking outside Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, Todd said that the emotional upset of his sister’s death on Tuesday “was too much” for their mother.
Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher passed away on Tuesday morning, days after suffering a heart attack onboard a flight from London to LA.
Since the news of Debbie’s death broke, plenty of fans and a-list pals, including Joan Collins, took to Twitter to pay tribute to the legendary actress.
