Tom Jones is reportedly coming back to The Voice UK

BBC

Tom Jones is allegedly coming back to The Voice UK to coach another group of hopefuls.

The singer first joined the show in March 2012, with our own Danny O’Donoghue from the Script beside him, before leaving in August 2015.

“Tom is keen to get back on the show – something he wouldn’t have been if it was still on the BBC rather than ITV,” a source revealed.

The 76-year-old has worked with so many musicians throughout his career that he would be a great coach to have back on the show, but the return may be too soon after his wife’s death.

“It’s being seen as a masterstroke to get him back as he’s worked with them all – including Elvis Presley – and commands respect,” the source further revealed to The Sun

“The only thing that’s holding him back is whether it’s too soon after his wife’s death and whether that makes it the right decision.”

Will.i.am was certainly excited to hear that his buddy Tom could be returning, as he sent out a now deleted tweet to welcome the Welsh singer back.

“I’m happy tom jones is back!!! #truePALs #theORIGINALS,” the American producer wrote.

The news of his return comes just hours after Boy George announced that he would be leaving the show.
