Taylor Swift BANNED from attending Comic Con with Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston promoted his new film Kong: Skull Island at San Diego’s Com-Con last weekend – without his pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift.

The pair have been inseparable since going public with their relationship, but it seems Taylor was left out of the equation for this years Comic Con.

Tom reportedly wanted to bring Taylor to Comic-Con, according to The Sun. However, Kong: Skull Island bosses reportedly “banned” Taylor from the pop culture convention in order to avert a Hiddleswift media “circus.”

Tom instead attended the event with glamorous Kong co-star Brie Larson. At the convention, he told People how he felt about the media craze around his personal life.

“I don’t know, it comes down to being authentic.” The 35-year-old said. “Everything you do, you have to make sure you truly believe in it and as long as you know that, it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about it.

“The nature of being a public figure is that everyone will have an opinion about anything you do, and as long as you know why you’ve done something and you’ve committed to it with authenticity then you’re OK.”

Tom seemed to be responding to fan theories that the celebrity couple is just a scheme to bring attention to their future projects – possibly a new Taylor Swift album or a James Bond role for Tom.

Taylor, meanwhile, kept a low profile. She was recently embroiled in a bitter feud with the Kardashians and Kanye West, only taking to Instagram over the weekend to tell Selena Gomez happy birthday.

Earlier this month, Tom asserted to the Hollywood Reporter that his whirlwind romance with Taylor is not a publicity stunt. “The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy.” The actor said.
