Sylvester Stallone’s daughters named Miss Golden Globes 2017

The siblings are making history

Sylvester Stallone’s three daughters, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet Stallone, have been named as Miss Golden Globes 2017.

The siblings are making history because it’s the first time that the first time multiple siblings have been chosen for the role.

The official Golden Globes Instagram account announced the news on Thursday, sharing a photo of the actor with his three daughters.

They captioned the post “Breaking! This year the 2017 Miss Golden Globe will be Sophia Stallone, Sistine Stallone, and Scarlet Stallone, the daughters of Sylvester Stallone.”

The honouree of this title is usually the son or daughter of one of the industry’s most respected actors, directors or producers of our time.

Last year, the 70-year-old took home the best supporting actor Golden Globe for reprising his most iconic role in the Rocky spin-off Creed last year.

The girls also released a joint statement expressing their joy over their new title.

“We’re thrilled to not only be part of the Golden Globe tradition, but to be making history as the first set of siblings ever chosen for the title and duties,” the sisters said in a statement obtained by E! News.

“We are proud to be part of the HFPA family, an organisation that multiple times has recognised our father’s work in film.”
