Spice Girls postpone anniversary tour until 2017

The Spice Girls have revealed that they have been forced to postpone their 20th anniversary tour plans until 2017.

Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice or Mel B, confirmed the sad news and revealed that the girl power group couldn’t lock down the venues they wanted to play.

“Places get booked out, so what we’re hopefully doing is planning on doing something to celebrate next year,” she revealed.

The mother-of-three admitted that she and her bandmates want to do the tour soon and not push it back further.

“It’s our 20th anniversary this year – this would be the perfect year,” Mel told Kelly Ripa on U.S. chat show Live With Kelly.

“It’s something that we want to do and it’d be nice to celebrate and give thanks to all the fans.

“I’m not getting any younger. Let’s hurry up and get this done.”

Reports claim that whilst Mel B, Emma Bunton aka Baby Spice and Geri Horner aka Ginger Spice will reunite for the tour, but Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice and Melanie Chisholm aka Sporty Spice will not be joining the rest of the girls.

Mel B recently unfollowed Sporty Spice on social media, and according to The Sun – Mel B, Emma and Geri are looking to replace Victoria and Melanie.

Reports also suggest that the three have set their sights on a TV documentary series that will show footage form their recording sessions and memories from their early days in the 1990s.
