No going back! Drew Barrymore files for divorce from Will Kopelman

They seemed to have the perfect relationship so Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman’s split in April came as a surprise.

And now the pair have officially called it quits, as Drew has just filed for divorce from her husband of four years.

The pair – who were friends for years before they started dating and have daughters Olive, three and Frankie, two, together – appear to be keen to remain civil and the New York Daily News reports that the divorce has been marked as uncontested in court documents.

Announcing the split in a joint statement earlier this year, Drew, 41, and Will, 39, said: “Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family.

“Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on.”

Speaking to her pal Chelsea Handler on her Netflix chat show recently, Drew admitted divorce made her feel like a failure.
She said: “I put in my statement, about [our] divorce, the word ‘failure,’ because it’s so honest.

“When you break up with somebody, you’re like, ‘Yeah, that didn’t work,’ [but] when you get divorced you’re like, ‘I’m the biggest failure. This is the biggest failure’.

“It’s so shameful and hard to actually go through that, even privately.

“It’s a tough time. It’s a hard thing to go through. It’s like your being put on a cheese grater and every second, going, ‘Ah! This wasn’t the plan!’ “
