Miley Cyrus will never do a red carpet again – because ‘people are starving’

Miley Cyrus has admitted that she’ll never walk a red carpet again – because “people are starving”.

The 23-year-old, who rose to fame on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, has had a stellar career in TV, film and music – but isn’t too fond of the fame aspect anymore.

In a cover interview with ELLE magazine, the singer compared walking the red carpet to something out of cult classic film Zoolander.

“I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit—it’s like Zoolander,” she said.

In her interview, the topic then turned to pop superstar Britney Spears, who Miley has previously worked with, and the Wrecking Ball singer questioned whether Britney was really happy with the music she releases – as she seems “a little distant”.

“[My manager Adam Leber] works with her; we’ve stayed close because of that. She’s a little distant in her world. I just want Britney to be happy.

“Every time she puts out new music, I’m like, ‘Is that what she wants to be doing? Or does she just want to chill?’ She’s looking so good right now, and looking happy.”
