Madonna begs for privacy after son Rocco’s alleged arrest

Madonna has put out a statement asking for privacy after the news of her son’s alleged arrest went public yesterday.

16-year-old Rocco was reportedly cited for suspicion of possession of cannabis by the London Borough of Camden’s youth offending team in September.

Calling the alleged arrest “a family matter”, Madonna said “I love my son very much. I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs.”

He is not expected to get a criminal record over the incident.

In the statement Madonna released to the Associated Press, she also said “I ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

Rocco is the son of Guy Richie and Madonna. When the couple divorced in 2008, they agreed to allow Rocco to continue living in London with his father.

According to The Sun, Rocco was arrested on the 28th of September 2016.
