John Mayer has taken a pop at his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The pair dated briefly in late 2009 to early 2010 and the songstress allegedly wrote her hit Dear John about their break-up.
“It was a really lousy thing for her to do,” he said about the song.

Dear John features lyrics such as “Well maybe it’s me and my blind optimisim to blame/ Maybe it’s you and your sick need to give love then take it away” and “Dear John, I see it all now that you’re gone / Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with? / The girl in the dress cried the whole way home / I should’ve known.”
“It made me feel terrible, because I didn’t deserve it. I’m pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that,” he told Rolling Stone magazine.
“It was a really lousy thing for her to do. It’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘wait till he gets a load of this.'”
Meanwhile, Taylor has her sights set on new adventures as she’s preparing to launch her own TV show.
