Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini has revealed how he found out about his ex-wife Cheryl’s pregnancy – and it turns out, he found out like everyone else – through the news.
The French restaurateur and the British songstress finalised their divorce in October, after splitting late last year. Since their split, Cheryl has since moved on with 1D star Liam Payne, who she is now expecting her first child with.
In Jean Bernard’s first interview since divorcing Cheryl, he told how he found out about his ex-wife’s pregnancy through the media.
“Funnily enough that [the news] was how I heard,” he told the Evening Standard newspaper.

Despite their bitter split, Jean Bernard says that Cheryl’s pregnancy is a “great thing”.
“It’s a great thing to have babies. There are so many sad things these days, if everyone was creating life, the world would be a better place.”
While Cheryl has clearly moved on since their split, Jean Bernard is yet to find love again.
“You cannot approach it differently when you fall in love. If you can give me tips for me to structure my heart in order not to fall in love the same way, please explain to me but I don’t think it’s possible.
“If it happens, it happens. My life has never been about looking for something. It comes to me. I’m old-fashioned. If I’m meant to meet the person, I will. If not, I will go home,” he said.
The news comes after it looked like Jean Bernard was throwing shade at his ex-wife on Instagram recently.
