James Blunt has just announced his upcoming album in the most hilarious way possible.
The singer is known for his 2004 hits You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover.
Despite his singing talents, the 42-year-old has really made a name for himself through his irreverent Twitter presence.
Today he put out a self depreciating tweet that said, “If you thought 2016 was bad – I’m releasing an album in 2017.”

If James’ album statement is official, this will be his first release since his 2013 album Moon Landing.
Blunt announced in February, through his newsletter, that he had started work on his fifth album.
