Fifth Harmony say they were ‘truly hurt’ by Camila Cabello’s departure

The 19-year-old has left after five years

Fifth Harmony have shared a statement on their Twitter account regarding Camila Cabello’s exit from the band.

It was announced yesterday that the 19-year-old had quit the band, which ultimately sparked an online debate from fans about what actually happened.

The statement begins with, “We know you are hurt and confused, we are too. We know you want answers.

“The last thing we want to do is engage in a battle of we said, she said,” it read.

The group explains how they were informed in November of Camila’s exit by her management and not by her.

“We were truly hurt. We’ve been together for almost five years, been through ups and downs,” the statement continued.

“While this isn’t the way any one of us would have wanted this chapter to in our lives to have ended, we had to begin to formulate a plan and contrastive path for Fifth Harmony to move forward, beyond Camilia.”

The statement ends on a hopeful note, with the group thanking their fans and promising to continue moving forwards.

“We also know the love and devotion we will continue to put into this group all with the support of you, the loyal Harmonizers.”
