Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs has died aged 86.
The popular star, who played the hilarious Spanish waiter Manuel in the much-loved series in the 1970s, died in a care home on November 23rd.
According to reports Andrew had been battling dementia since 2012 and had been in a wheelchair and unable to speak towards his last months.
“My heart has been broken every day for a long time,” his wife Melody told the Mail Online.
“We were happy, we were always happy, we never had a dull moment. He had dementia for four years and we really didn’t notice it at first until the memory started going,” she explained.
“It didn’t get really bad until quite near the end,” she added.
