DJ Martin Garrix confirms Justin Bieber collaboration

Producer and DJ Martin Garrix has officially confirmed that he’s set to collaborate with Justin Bieber.

The 20-year-old DJ, real name Martijn Garritsen, has made waves amongst the EDM scene since the release of popular tune Animals – and has since made some pretty famous friends.

The Amsterdam native and Justin met through talent manager Scooter Braun, and remained friends ever since – and now it looks like they’re about to make some sweet music together.

Having already worked with the likes of Usher, Tiesto, Avicii and Ed Sheeran – Martin confirmed in a recent interview that him and JB are “throwing ideas around”.

“I’m still in the process of throwing ideas around,” he told the MailOnline.

“For us both there’s no hurry, no rush in making music together. There will be a song in the future.”

Billboard reported earlier this week that the Dutch DJ had signed with Sony Music International.

In a press release to Billboard, Martin said, “I’m super excited to be working with such a hungry and passionate team at Sony Music Entertainment.

“Their forward thinking approach to streaming and incredible roster of talented artists combined with their passion and understanding for my vision of the future of my music made this a no brainer.”

Martin’s first release with Sony will be titled, Name of Love featuring Bebe Rexha – set for release on Friday, July 29.
