Debbie's son and Carrie's brother Todd Fisher said a joint funeral would be 'appropriate'

Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher will be laid to rest as a joint funeral has been planned.

The actress passed within a day of each other, with the Star Wars actress dying on December 27th and her mother passing on December 28th.

Debbie’s son and Carrie’s brother Todd Fisher said a joint memorial would be “appropriate” given their close relationship.

The arrangements for a joint funeral to happen are still being planned but it is what Todd said they want to do.

“It’s what we want to do, but we’re still working on the mechanics,” he told New York Daily News.

“We like the idea, if it’s at all possible. I think it’s appropriate.”
