Calvin Harris won’t be releasing any more albums

Calvin Harris has retired from making any more albums.

The Scottish DJ has had a string of hit albums including Motion, 18 Months, I Created A Disco and Ready For The Weekend – but a source has since revealed that he just wants to focus on releasing singles from now on.

“Calvin has always been a forward-thinker and believes just releasing singles is the way forward,” they said.

Calvin became the first British artist in 2014 to reach one billion streams on Spotify, with many of his songs played daily on the music app.

“Albums don’t sell how they used to and artists are now seeing streaming as the future,” a source told The Sun.

“Albums are time-consuming and limit artists to cycles rather than having a persistent presence in the charts.

“Calvin is one of the most-streamed artists in the world so it would make sense to exploit that success.”

Calvin’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift appears to still be a fan of his music as she was spotted singing along to his hit song This Is What You Came For – which also feature her vocals.
