Calvin Harris has revealed what U.S. singer convinced him to sing on his new track, My Way.
The DJ’s new hit was rumoured to have some huge names on it like Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato – but surprised everyone by singing himself.
“Actually, Pharrell [Williams] told me something about hitting the notes,” he said.

The Dumfries native admitted that Pharrell was one of the few people that convinced him to sing.
“Occasionally people try to persuade me to sing again and he was one of those people,” Calvin told Zane Lowe on his Apple Music Beats 1 show.
“He said some of the most memorable and character voices, that we have, including himself, it’s not about hitting the notes, it’s about getting the emotion and the feeling and the character across.
“Once he said that to me I started looking at myself [and] my voice differently ‘cos I was like, ‘Hmm, someone like him picked up on that.'”
The 32-year-old has denied that his new song is about Taylor Swift – though his lyrics are pretty telling.
