Beyonce’s songwriter reveals TRUTH behind ‘Becky with the good hair’

Beyonce’s songwriter Diana Gordon has finally revealed the truth about her infamous “Becky with the good hair” lyric.

The writer and producer, formerly known as Wynter Gordon, told E!News that the infamous line wasn’t aimed at any person in particular.

“I laughed, like this is so silly. Where are we living?” She said. “I was like, What day in age from that lyric do you get all of this information?”

“Is it really telling you all that much, accusing people?” Diana continued.

After Beyonce sang, “He only want me when I’m not there / He better call Becky with the good hair” on her track Sorry, fans began speculating wildly about “Becky’s” identity.

The track, off the superstar’s chart topping album Lemonade, was widely interpreted as an accusation of infidelity against Yonce’s husband Jay Z.

Beyonce’s “Beyhive” took to the internet to root out the other woman – accusing multiple stars, including Rita Ora and Rachel Roy, of being the so called “Becky.”

Diana said Beyonce wasn’t expecting such a vehement reaction. “I don’t think she expected it, ” the songwriter explained.

“I saw her at her Formation tour. She had a pyjama party; we laughed, we danced, we hugged it out. But I didn’t say much about it at the time because I wanted to give her space.

“The idea started in my mind but it’s not mine anymore. It was very funny and amusing to me to watch it spread over the world.”
