BBC picks up RTÉ comedy Can’t Cope Won’t Cope

RTÉ’s newest comedy Can’t Cope Won’t Cope has been picked up in the UK by BBC 3.

The comedy-drama, which stars Amy Huberman and rising star Seána Kerslake, was written by Stephanie Preissner.

The five-part series, which follows two girls from Cork living in Dublin, went down a hit with Irish audiences – and now the BBC are hoping for the same in the UK.

Speaking about the news, the show’s creator Stefanie, who is already working on a series two, said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to bring the show to a bigger audience especially the Irish people in the U.K. who missed it.

“I’m in the middle of writing season 2 now which is a tricky process so this news is really spurring me in to make a cracking second season for RTÉand the viewers,” she added.
