Avril Lavigne accuses Mark Zuckerberg of ‘promoting bullying’

The Facebook CEO made a joke about Nickelback, her ex-husband's band

Avril Lavigne has accused Mark Zuckerberg of “promoting bullying” after he made a joke about her ex-husband Chad Kroeger’s band, Nickelback.

The Faceboook CEO was demonstrating his new A.I. Jarvis when he took a pop at the band’s expense earlier this week when he asked it to play “some good Nickelback songs.

The A.I. replied, “I’m sorry Mark, I can’t do that. There are no good Nickelback songs.

Avril took to Twitter to hit out at Mark for his dig at the rockers, “Many people use your products – some people love them and some people don’t. Either way, you’re allowed your musical opinion, however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste.

“When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today.”

The songstress finished off her short essay with the hashtags “Say no to bullying,” “Nickelback has sold over 50 million albums” and “The joke is old” referencing the popular jab that the band doesn’t make good music.

Mark has not replied to Avril’s comments.
