She’s used to playing Tommy’s other half in Love/Hate but now Charlie Murphy will take control in new action flick Northmen: A Viking’s Saga.
The Dublin actress plays the female lead in the new movie, where she stars alongside True Blood actor Ryan Kwanten.
Charlie, 26, said she loved playing with crossbows on set.
“I play a Scottish princess captured by Vikings, and I got to play with crossbows and do lots of stunts. It was great craic,” she said.

The entire movie was shot in South Africa and Charlie said their location was stunning.
“Being over in South Africa was an amazing experience,” she told the Herald.
“So much movie work is being done over there at the moment. It’s such a beautiful landscape,” she said.
The action flick will have it’s world premiere at the Zurich Film Festival on September 27.
