50 Cent arrested for saying ‘motherf*****’ during gig

St. Kitts police arrested rapper Fifty Cent on Saturday for saying “motherf*****” during a concert.

Fifty Cent was hired to host an event on the Caribbean island, but the organiser asked him to perform last minute.

“He obliged and used the DJ they had there,” the rapper’s rep said to Daily News. “Unfortunately, they didn’t have the clean version to his tracks, so there were profanities used during his performance.”

Unfortunately, public profanity is illegal in St. Kitts and is seen as a misdemeanour offence, and can actually send people behind bars.

After the concert, police arrested Fifty Cent, real name Curtis Jackson.

He was booked Saturday evening, and paid his fine on Sunday morning before returning to the US.

Despite his arrest, Curtis’s rep seemed pleased with the concert. “The show was a great success, and he will make sure for future trips to St. Kitts that he leaves the ‘motherf*****s* in the U.S.” the rep said.

Fifty Cent hasn’t said how much he had to pay, but back in 2003 hip hop artist DMZ also got in trouble for swearing in St. Kitts. He paid $376.

This fine is just one more thing on the list of Fifty Cent’s often bizarre legal problems. Last year, Fifty Cent filed for bankruptcy but continued to show of his supposed wealth on social media.
