Wes Nelson has claimed that his ex Megan Barton-Hanson couldn’t deal with him being “career driven”, and has blocked him on social media.
The former Love Island couple split last month, after Megan got into a public spat with Wes’ Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer.
The reality star appeared on This Morning today, and he spoke about how his stint on DOI affected his relationship.
He said: “It was heavily involved, but not the way the media made out with Vanessa, it’s more so it’s so time-consuming and being away from home all time.”
“Every couple wants to spend quality time together, have something to look forward to, whether that be training 10 hours a day, then three hours in the evening will be quality time.”
“If something is making you unhappy and that upset and down and I said ‘Who am I to say keep being sad’, I think Megan does wish I didn’t do Dancing On Ice, purely because we wanted a simple type of life after Love Island.”
“I’m very career driven, and after the show, I thought all these opportunities, it would be silly not to take them all. Then on the flip side of that, it’s supposed to be the most exciting point in a relationship the first weeks and months, it’s the best part, all the dates, that was missed.”

The 20-year-old expressed how tough it was to let go, “It is a shame, we did love each other, it wasn’t a holiday romance, it is difficult, when you come out into real life, life flipped on its head, that’s when cracks start to show.”
Wes also addressed the romance rumours surrounding him and his skating partner Vanessa.
He insisted, “We are absolutely not an item, you know that yourself, Phil.”
“It is purely professional, she is work work and train train there’s nothing like that, nothing will ever be.”
