Rupert Grint played an obsessive Ed Sheeran fan in the music video for the singer’s hit Lego House five years ago.
And the Harry Potter star has revealed that he gets mistaken for the pop star all the time.
Appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week, Rupert said that half the time when he gets recognised, it’s actually people thinking he’s Ed.

“It’s kind of 50/50 now,” he said. “It’s like [when] someone stops me, it could go either way. I could be Ed or I could be me.”
Rupert even revealed that You Make Me Feel Like Dancing hit-maker Leo Sayer once confused him for Ed.
“Leo Sayer, he came up to me and said he loved my music, of course thinking I was Ed,” he said, adding that he’s perfectly happy to be mistaken for the singer. “And I play along.”
And Rupert is not the only one – Sir Patrick Stewart was also appearing on the show, and revealed that fans often think he is Sir Ben Kingsley, or stop Ben thinking he is Patrick.
