WATCH: Emotional moment Simon Cowell meets dog he helped save from a meat farm

Simon Cowell has been introduced to a dog he helped save from a meat farm.

The TV personality previously made a donation of £25,000 to save dogs from being slaughtered in South Korea’s controversial dog meat industry.

And during an interview on Good Morning Britain, which was filmed before the coronavirus lockdown, the 60-year-old got to meet Robin – a dog who was saved just months before he was due to be slaughtered.

“Without people like you, he’d basically be in someone’s stomach,” Simon told Pip on the show.

Robin’s official Instagram account, which describes him as a “meat trade survivor”, shared the moment he met the Britain’s Got Talent judge.

The caption reads: “Simon generously donated 25k to help Humane Society International shut down the S.Korean dog meat farm where I was trapped.”

Thanks to Simon’s donation, more than 200 dogs and puppies bred for human consumption were saved.

On the latest episode of Goss Chats, Ali Ryan chats to Ronan Keating about his star-studded upcoming music special, and working with Robbie Williams on a special new song dedicated to Stephen Gately.

#GossChats is sponsored by top aesthetic clinic Haus of JeJuve, which is now back open for bookings.
