Union J have hit back at Josh Cuthbert’s statement after he left the band.
Yesterday evening, Josh posted an emotional statement thanking fans and wishing the remaining two members of the band the best of luck in the future, stating that he wants to pursue individual opportunities.
“My journey with Union J has been one to remember, and something I will cherish forever,” Josh tweeted.
“But after seven years, I feel like now is the right time for me to leave the band.”

Despite the 26-year-old’s heartfelt post, the remaining members of Union J hit back with a cryptic statement, which they later deleted.
The band posted: “This statement should have come to you as a joint statement. Sadly once again that decision was taken into ones personal matters.”
Union J continued to express their frustration, as they also tweeted: “Not cool.”
Although the tweets were soon deleted from the band’s account, a fan page screenshot them said: “What on earth is happening with Union J. Tweets have been deleted already.”

As Josh has now left the band, following in the footsteps of George Shelley who left two years ago, it just leaves JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley in Union J.
