The special meaning behind Stacey Solomon’s daughter’s name has been revealed.
The Loose Women star welcomed a baby girl with her fiancé Joe Swash on Monday, October 4 – which was also her 32nd birthday.
The couple decided to name their newborn baby Rose Opal Esmè Solomon-Swash, and one of her middle name’s has a very special meaning.
On top of it being Rose and Stacey’s birthstone, the opal is incredibly meaningful to her and Joe.
Last Christmas, the former EastEnders star proposed to Stacey with an engagement ring that featured two Australian opals.
The gemstones signify where they “fell in love”, as the pair met when Stacey won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here back in 2010.
Joe was hosting the I’m A Celeb after-show in Australia at the time.
Stacey announced the name of their baby daughter on Tuesday night.
Sharing two photos of their newborn baby lying next to a rose, she wrote: “🌹Rose🌹 Opal, Esmè Solomon-Swash. ♥️ Our beautiful flower – Our precious jewel – who is ever loved.”
“It’s been the most magical week. We love you to the moon and back our little Rose 🥺🌹.”

Stacey and Joe, who got engaged last Christmas, are already parents to a son named Rex – who was born on May 23, 2019.
The former X Factor star is also mum to Leighton and Zachary from previous relationships, while Joe shares 13-year-old son Harry with his ex Emma Sophocleous.
