Strictly Come Dancing’s Graziano Di Prima leaves show following claims of ‘misconduct’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Graziano Di Prima has left the show following claims of “misconduct.”

This follows fellow pro-dancer Giovanni Pernice quitting the show after he came under fire in recent months for his “militant approach to training.

Taking to Instagram, Graziano shared a statement and confessed: “My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime.”

He wrote: “I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly.”

“My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime.”

“Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it’s best for the show that I step away.”

“While there are aspects of this story involving external influences that I can’t discuss at this time, I remain committed to being strong for my family and friends.”

He continued: “I wish the Strictly family and the BBC nothing but success in the future.”

“I also want to thank everyone who has supported my career, both professionally and personally.”

“When the time is right, I will share my story,” he added.

The DailyMail has reported that the Italian dancer was spoken to by bosses of the hit show this week and his contract was terminated.

The publication said a complaint was made recently and prompted the BBC to extend the inquiry that was ongoing over claims against Giovanni.

A source told the publication: “It was during that meeting that it all unfolded.”

“It seems that whatever Gio has done it opened a can of worms.”

Graziano joined Strictly in 2018 and was partnered with reality star Zara McDermott where the pair made it to week 6.
