Strictly Come Dancing‘s Faye Tozer has admitted that it’s been “tough” trying to juggle family life and the show.

The Steps star was spotted having a cosy lunch with her dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, last week and fans were sent into a frenzy when the dancer was spotted feeding Faye salad with his hands.

Romance rumours regarding the pair quickly began circulating, but the singer’s husband, Mick Smith, joked about the speculation in a hilarious Instagram post, as he shut down the rumours.

The mother-of-one has now revealed that appearing on the show has been “tricky”, as she told The Sun: “It’s always tricky being away from home. You just have to keep your head above water.”

“We’ve just got to keep really tight as a family unit and make sure we communicate — I think that’s the only way. But it is tough being away from home because we miss each other.”

Speaking about the infamous Strictly curse, Faye said: “I think if it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen anywhere. It’s down to everyone’s individual circumstances, it really is.”

The 43-year-old also addressed the snaps of her and Giovanni, and admitted: “I can feed myself thank you very much. But I had a bit of salad on my face so he took it off and that was it.”

“It was my birthday — it was the first time Giovanni actually took me out for lunch, bless him. We usually just, like, get on with rehearsing but he was trying to be nice. Michael knew he was taking me out so, yeah, it’s absolutely fine.”
