Stephanie Davis in talks to front TV show on domestic violence – after Jeremy McConnell is found guilty

Stephanie Davis is in talks to front a documentary about domestic abuse, after her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell was found guilty of assaulting her.

The 24-year-old wants to help other people in a similar situation, and raise awareness about living with domestic abuse.

A source close to Stephanie told The Sun, “Steph wants to use her very public battle with Jeremy for good – she wants to make a show that helps people who are going through what she had to live through.”

Meanwhile, Stephanie’s spokesperson said, “We are looking at a number of media options for Stephanie.”

“Supporting domestic violence charities and organisations is absolutely on our priority list for Stephanie, she wishes to raise awareness and stop women going through what she has.”

On Monday, Jeremy McConnell, who hails from Bray, was found guilty of attacking Stephanie at her home in Liverpool while she was holding their baby son Caben.

Following the verdict, Stephanie’s legal team released a statement saying, “We are delighted with the decision in court today and are pleased that justice has been done – we await the decision on Friday and the appropriate sentencing.”

“Stephanie and her family would like to thank everyone for their support throughout this process which has been stressful and has put them all under massive pressure. Stephanie would like to thank her family, friends and team around her who have stuck with her and helped her to begin to rebuild her life.

“Stephanie now wishes to work with domestic violence and abuse charities to raise awareness and stop what has happened to her happening to other women in the UK,” they added.

It comes after Stephanie broke down in tears while giving evidence inside the courtroom, claiming that Jeremy threw her around “like a rag doll” and threatened her with acid after a cocaine-fuelled night out back in March.

The mother-of-one also alleged that Jeremy accused her of using a sex toy during a lesbian affair with a friend, and accused her of having an affair with a fireman neighbour.

In court, Jeremy claimed self-defence.

However, Judge Wendy Lloyd reached a guilty verdict in a matter of minutes, saying, “This is a sad story, like many of this sort there is much emotion on both sides. Mr McConnell may prefer to think he acted in self defence. I believe his judgement was totally clouded by drugs and alcohol.”
