Stacey Solomon has revealed she had to take her son Rex to A&E on Sunday night.
The Loose Women panelist and her fiancé Joe Swash welcomed their first child together on May 23, 2019.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday morning, the 31-year-old said: “We had a nightmare yesterday. Rex fell over in the garden and we were like, ‘Up you get!’ And then we looked and it was not an ‘up you get’ situation.”
“He hurt his lip so we took him into A&E and he had to get butterfly stitches put on. I’m going to go back today and get proper stitches put on because it’s in a really awkward place.”
“But he was so good, he didn’t make a sound he was just like, ‘Yeah fix it’ to the doctor. He was so good. Joe on the other hand… He had to leave the room!”
Joe explained: “Honestly when the kids are hurt, I panic.”
Stacey added: “But yeah that’s why I’ve been so quiet, everything is fine and yeah, I hope you’re all okay.”
After receiving an outpouring of supportive comments from her followers, Stacey wrote: “Thank you. I always feel soooo guilty when the boys hurt themselves.”
“So it’s so comforting to read your messages and remember they all have little knocks now and then. I love you guys, you’re honestly the most reassuring group of mates on here.”
“Never worry about what anyone thinks of you… There will always be ‘perfect’ people out there who judge you. You’re doing your best every day and they’re so loved. And you’re doing an amazing job even when they fall over. That’s all that matters.”
It comes just days after Stacey announced she and Joe were expecting their second child together.
Sharing the news in a sweet Instagram post, she wrote: “We are growing another pickle 👶🏻 We’ve never felt so grateful… I have no words.”
“We didn’t think we would get the chance. We love you all to the moon and back. Lots of love From Me, Joe, Harry, Zach, Leighton, Rex, and our little pickle 🥺”
Stacey is also mum to Leighton and Zachary from previous relationships, while Joe is the father of Harry – who he shares with ex Emma Sophocleous.
Stacey and Joe got engaged on Christmas Eve last year, and have decided to postpone their wedding day until after the birth of their new baby.
