Spice Girls offered lucrative Las Vegas residency

Mel B has been urging her bandmates to accept the offer

The Spice Girls have reportedly been offered a huge Las Vegas residency, and Mel B is keen to accept.

According to The Sun, they’ve been offered a big-money deal at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace.

A source said: “The girls haven’t committed to a full US tour, but their production team think a residency could be the perfect fit.”

“There is massive money on the table depending on how their UK tour goes. When Celine Dion leaves The Colosseum next June the owners are planning a refurb and want a flagship act to get punters back when it reopens.”

“Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton all have commitments but a residency means they could dip in and out when it suits them, rather than having to put everything on hold for a tour of the US,” the source continued.

“Mel B is keen to make it happen as she has a history with Caesars after her burlesque production, Peepshow, was based there in 2009, so she’s totally behind the idea. And her main base is Los Angeles so it would be a perfect fit for her.

“If the UK tour is as successful as everyone thinks it will be, this could be a very lucrative deal for them.”

The news comes ahead of the band’s reunion tour, which will kick off at Dublin’s Croke Park on May 24.
