Spencer Matthews reveals he was nearly cast as a major character in Harry Potter

Who knew!

Spencer Matthews has revealed that he was nearly cast as a major character in the first Harry Potter film.

During the second episode of ‘Spencer, Vogue & Baby Too’ on E4, the former Made in Chelsea star opened up about his career prospects – and revealed his dream of becoming an actor.

He said, “Having a child sort of reminded me of childhood dreams and that, so I’m gonna either open or shut the door on my childhood dream of becoming an actor.”

The father-of-one confessed, “I was in the running, as a young child, to play Draco Malfoy.”

He explained, “I was told I was too sweet, too nice. Because I actually, despite popular belief, used to be a very sweet child,” before joking, “My mum even occasionally says, you know, what happened?”

Unfortunately Spencer lost out of the role to Tom Felton, who starred in all eight Harry Potter films.

Spencer and his wife Vogue Williams’ reality show first aired last week, and it’s received huge praise from viewers.

The series documents their life as first time parents, and airs on Monday nights on E4.
