Sir Rod Stewart has revealed he secretly fought prostate cancer for past three years.
The iconic musician was diagnosed in February 2016 during a routine check-up.
He made the revelation about his diagnosis at a fundraising event for the Prostate Project.
The 74-year-old said he has been in remission since July of this year.
He explained that his doctor had caught the disease at an early stage, because he goes for regular check-ups.
He urged all men to get checked regularly to prevent the cancer developing.
“Guys, you’ve got to really go to the doctor,” he said, according to the Daily Mirror
“No one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody.”
“I’m in the clear, now, simply because I caught it early.”
