Simon Cowell has admitted that he misses Louis Walsh on The X Factor.
The Mayo native did not return to the singing competition this year and released a statement during the summer in which he said that the show needs change and he was ready to leave.
The 66-year-old has taken up a new judging role though, as he is set to return to the panel on Ireland’s Got Talent next year.
During the week, Lizzie Cundy asked Simon if he missed Louis, to which he responded: “Yes I am. But you know, he still does Ireland’s Got Talent and he can come back… as a contestant.”
“We have the overs category so we would have to have the older and older category. For the over 80s,” he joked.
Louis isn’t the only judge to leave the show this season, as Nicole Scherzinger also never returned to the panel and Sharon Osbourne pulled out of her guest judge appearance earlier this month.
