Sarah Jayne Dunn has hit back at Hollyoaks bosses for asking her to leave the soap, after she recently joined OnlyFans.
The X-rated subscription site allows creators to earn money from fans who pay a fee to see exclusive images and videos of them.
The actress returned to Hollyoaks to play Mandy Richardson in 2017, after originally appearing on the soap from 1996 until 2011.
In a statement, Hollyoaks said: “We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites.”
The 40-year-old has since slammed their decision to remove her from the soap.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “The pictures I’ve put on OnlyFans are no more explicit than the sort of things I’ve done in the past for magazines and even for Hollyoaks’ own official calendar.”
“For me this is about having the right as a woman of 40 years old to decide what is right for me.”
Sarah continued: “I love photoshoots and I’ve worked hard for my figure. I don’t make a secret of the fact that I get a big boost out of it, and I’m not apologetic for that.”
The actress has since unfollowed the Hollyoaks accounts on social media.
Sarah’s departure from the show comes after she announced on Instagram last month that she was joining the adult site.
