Ruth Langsford returned to Loose Women for the first time since announcing her split from Eamonn Holmes on Monday.
The couple are currently in the process of divorcing, after announcing their split in May after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
Amid their marriage split, the 64-year-old took an extended break from the panel show, and refrained from speaking about their breakup.
But on Monday’s episode of Loose Women, the presenter made her grand return, and said she was “thrilled” to be back on the panel.
Opening the show, she announced: “Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it’s great to have your company!”
Fellow panellist Coleen Nolan then said: “Can I just say, I am so so happy you are back.”
As the crowd cheered, Janet Street-Porter shouted, “Thank God! Thank God! I was left with her and her,” as she gestured towards Coleen and Brenda Edwards.
“I know, I won’t do it again Janet. It’s very nice to be back with you all,” Ruth replied.
The presenter failed to address her marriage split on the show, and appeared to still be wearing her wedding ring.
Ruth and Eamonn, who announced their split in May, are parents to a son named Jack, 22.
The GB News presenter is also father to three children Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30, from a previous marriage.
While the former couple are yet to confirm the cause of their split, it has been claimed that Ruth “found messages from another woman” on Eamonn’s laptop.
A source previously told The Sun: “Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages.”
“She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated.”
They added: “Not only was she very upset but she was also angry.”
According to the outlet, Eamonn has grown close to an unnamed woman since last year after they first came into contact a few years ago.
The journalist is said to have been on outings with the woman, including a visit to a Zoo and has reportedly spoiled her with gifts.
Eamonn has also endorsed a charity linked to her work and hosted a fundraising event free of charge.
Eamonn has never revealed the woman’s name on on social media and the Daily Mail reported that Ruth was seemingly not aware of their meetings until recently.
Sources told the paper that Eamonn treated his close friend to several lavish days out including a Beyonce concert and tickets to see his favourite team Man United play at Old Trafford.
They explained: “Ruth was obviously aware that her marriage was crumbling, but as details emerge, her upset has turned to anger. Eamonn’s friend is bowled over by being lavished with attention and kindness from him.”
The pair reportedly met via Twitter after the woman commented on a post and it sparked a conversation between the pair.
Friends explained that the woman’s counselling skills include coping with “feeling sad” and “separation and divorce.”
