Rose Ayling-Ellis has gushed over Giovanni Pernice in a sweet post following their Strictly Come Dancing win.

The EastEnders star made history on Saturday night, after becoming the first deaf person to win the popular BBC show.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday to share photos of her pro dancing partner, the actress wrote: “I’m dedicating this post to the most wonderful human ever, Giovanni. The person who was there everyday with me for four months, who knows truly what this journey has been for me, the reason why I have become confident within myself.”

“He came into my world and brought the best out of me. I cannot thank him enough for all the work and effort to make me become the dancer that I am today.”

“Winning the Glitterball is the best gift I could ever give to Giovanni because he really deserves it. I am beyond proud of us.”

“I never thought I would leave Strictly with a best friend for life, thank you Gio 💕,” the 27-year-old added.

After their win, Giovanni took to Instagram to share a photo of him and Rose with the Glitterball trophy.

The Italian dancer, who split from Maura Higgins in October, captioned the post: “‘We are the champion my friend’ @rose.a.e Dreams do come true if you believe in it .. and that’s what you did super🌟!”

“Just want to say thank u to all of you who spend time and money for make this happen! You are part of our victory ! Thank you to all the pros and celebs involved this year … what a fantastic time to be on the show♥️”
