Rebekah Vardy has slammed Coleen Rooney for publicly shaming her, as she continues to deny the allegations that have been made against her.
The 37-year-old, who is expecting her third child with her footballer husband Jamie, was forced to alert the police yesterday after receiving death threats over the scandal.
Coleen has publicly accused Rebekah of leaking stories to the press by snooping on her private Instagram account, but the expectant mother has insisted that she had nothing to do with the leaks.
As she fights to clear her name, Rebekah has demanded Coleen to hand over proof that her Instagram account was definitely behind the leaked stories.
Speaking to The Sun, a tearful Rebekah said: “Everyone hates me. I swear I didn’t do this. I would never have done anything like this and certainly not to Coleen.”
“I don’t know why on earth she would do this to me. She said she liked me then hung me out to dry in public.”
“I have absolutely no idea who was responsible – I have always liked Coleen on a personal level. We’ve always got on fine, and I would have no reason to do something like this to her,” she said.
“My only issue with her is the way she has gone about doing this to me in public, and causing all of this upset, without speaking to me first in private. Why didn’t she pick up the phone? I have been so upset by it – and I’m heavily pregnant too.”
“Now I’m getting death threats saying I should die and my unborn child should die. That’s why I’m determined to get to the bottom of what has gone on and clear my name.”
Rebekah also confirmed that a number of people have had access to her Instagram account over the years, and now she’s hired a team of forensic IT experts to find out who could have accessed her account.
She said: “Even when I do find out who was accessing my Instagram, and who leaked the information, I will never call them out in public.”
“I’ll deal with it privately behind the scenes, because I never want anybody to have to go through the upset which I have suffered over the last few days.”
Coleen publicly accused Rebekah of selling fake stories about her in an explosive statement on Wednesday, after she planted false information on her personal Instagram.
The wife of Wayne Rooney claimed she planted false information on her private Instagram page and blocked everyone from her story – except Rebekah’s account.
The mother-of-four said stories about her basement flooding, returning to TV and gender selection were only viewed by Rebekah’s account – and the false stories all made it into the press.
Coleen believes this is proof that the fellow WAG allegedly sold stories about her private life.
