Prince Harry and Prince William to split their royal household amid rift rumours

Prince Harry and Prince William are reportedly set to split their royal household amid rift rumours.

The brothers and their wives have hit headlines in recent months, as there have been reports of a rift between the couples following Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle.

According to The Sunday Times, the princes are now set to create separate courts ahead of the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child.

The brothers are set to divide their staff, after they had a number of meetings to discuss the new arrangements in recent weeks.

A source also told the publication that Prince Harry and Meghan are preparing to make their move to Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle in Spring.

The couple have been living near Prince William and Kate Middleton at Kensington Palace since the summer, but are moving to Windsor shortly before the birth of their first child.

“William and Harry are working to make sure the Sussexes have an office that can support their family when they move to Frogmore this spring. This work has been under way since before last year’s wedding,” the source said.

“When William becomes the Prince of Wales, he will take on a lot of extra responsibility, including the Duchy of Cornwall. Harry and Meghan have none of that, and seem ambitious about forging their own paths,” another source added.

“If you have one private office trying to manage both, things get difficult.”
